The Church Dance

...In Christianity God is not a static thing - not even a person - but a dynamic, pulsating activity, a life, almost a kind of drama. Almost, if you will not think me irreverent, a kind of dance.                                                           -C.S. Lewis

The Trinity is like an Armenian line-dance….

For a successful Armenian line-dance you need a choreographer, a lead dancer, and DJ.

God the Father is like a choreographer who sets the stage for the dance to take place. Jesus Christ is the lead dancer who reveals the choreographer's intentions. And the Holy Spirit is like a DJ who provides the music that brings it all together. In the act of dancing, the work of the choreographer, dancer and DJ unite in complete harmony.

The Good News is that we are invited to join God’s dance. Jesus calls us to leave our insecurities behind and take a leap onto the dance floor. He is the one out in front with the handkerchief, teaching his followers how to dance with the help of the Holy Spirit keeping us in sync with God’s rhythm. And there is also the approval of the Heavenly Father who sees his children dancing and says to them, “you are my beloved, with you I am well pleased.”
